Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in Psychiatry and Neuroscience

The Department of Psychiatry and the Neuroscience Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill invite applications for a tenure-track/tenure-eligible faculty position. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a highly innovative and productive research program directed at uncovering neuronal mechanisms that underlie neuropsychiatric disease states. Applicants with experience in large-scale neural recordings, circuit manipulation techniques, and/or computational approaches applied to behaviors in animal model systems are especially encouraged to apply.

Both the Department of Psychiatry (http://www.med.unc.edu/psych) and the UNC Neuroscience Center (http://www.med.unc.edu/neuroscience) provide outstanding environments for ground breaking research and career development. 大学成立时只有一栋单一建筑物, 叫做旧东方。如今仍然作住宅楼使用，它是最老的美国公立大学建筑物。它于1793年10月12日奠基，地方接近于一所英国圣公会小教堂并因此得名教堂山。今天，大学在每年10月12日庆祝校庆。第一位学生，Hinton James于1795年2月12日从威明顿走路到达这里。校园里的一个大住宅楼就依他命名。两个星期内，他是唯一的学生。
